Over the years, the Call of Duty franchise has made huge strides in immersing us right into the gameplay. When looking at the best aspects of each COD game, it’s easy to come up with one singular aspect which has made it the best-selling franchise of all-time. The maps, both online and off-line have given us all something to look forward to as the ability to detail life-like features bodes well for the typical gamer, which is the number one feature for more Call of Duty gamers worldwide.
In this article we will be discussing the top 5 Ghosts maps that we’d like to see return in Call of Duty Ghosts 2. Keep in mind that many of the maps planned for Ghosts 2 will be brand new maps but we should hopefully see some returning maps too.
There was something special about Prison Break that allowed a free-for-all deathmatch to always feel action-packed. There are plenty of areas to go on Prison Break and unlike other maps, it’s easy to follow a path on Prison Break without the chance of getting shot in the back.
Perhaps one of the best maps for Search and Destroy in the original COD Ghosts, Octane featured a shanty town that had buildings on two sides of the map and a strip of desert road running down the middle. There are plenty of areas to set up in Octane and plenty of entrances to each building to keep players on their feet.
Whiteout was one of the larger maps on Call of Duty Ghosts 2 and it usually had action spread out across the map. Whilst a group of players could be fighting in the snowy footpaths, other players could be fighting it out on the fishing ship whilst another player or two could be preparing to battle in the nearby fishing houses.
For snipers, Stonehaven was heaven. With plenty of vantage spots, Stonehaven was a great map for long range shots and there weren’t many other maps like it on COD Ghosts.
With a small, circular design, Strikezone was the most action packed map out of all of the original Ghosts multiplayer maps. Strikezone was best for close combat fighting and quick trades for kills. We’d hope Strikezone returns to Call of Duty Ghosts 2.
Out of all of the original Ghosts multiplayer maps, which ones would you like to see make a return in 2016?
