Over the last few years Call of Duty has evolved to incorporate a number of interesting new features, and it seems like the next generation game will be even more feature rich. When it comes to weapons, accessories, kill streaks, and the many different multiplayer variants, it gives us all a huge extension on the multiplayer aspect that we’ve all come to expect.
In this article we shall be talking about the new Call of Duty Ghosts 2 features that could make it into the game later this year when it is released.
Perhaps the biggest change to Call of Duty in all of its history was when the game made the step from modern combat to future combat. When this step was made, all following Call of Duty titles started to adopt the same changes. Nowadays, Call of Duty games are known for having jump jets that offers a much wider scale of player control across multiplayer levels and campaign maps. Call of Duty Ghosts 2 might not have jump packs but we would not be surprised at all if they did.
With jump packs, players will be able to reach new heights and add more movement to their gameplay, further adding to the fast paced tension that COD is well known for. We just wonder how dogs may be implemented alongside the jump packs…
Since Advanced Warfare we started to see more advanced weaponry that at this point in time is completely fictional. If COD Ghosts takes a step into the future then we may see a range of futuristic weaponry. I’d love to see directed energy weapons in Call of Duty Ghosts 2 but only time will tell if they do get them or not.
More Extinction Mode
One reason why I think energy weapons and other futuristic gear could be plausible in COD Ghosts 2 is that their secondary multiplayer mode, Extinction, is based around taking down waves of aliens. If Call of Duty can have jump packs and aliens then we see no reason why it can’t also have futuristic weaponry.
