The original Call of Duty Ghosts campaign took players to a variety of awesome locations. We’d hope the campaign in COD Ghosts 2 is just as exciting. By taking a look at the regional location of the original Ghosts campaign, we’ve come up with some epic potential locations for the campaign in the upcoming Call of Duty title.
Outer Space, Space Station
The beginning of the Call of Duty Ghosts campaign took players to outer space, which we think is absolutely awesome. The campaign level with the outer space scene did only take place in low Earth orbit, but even still this is something we’ve never seen in a COD game before. We’d love to see Infinity Ward revisit space with COD Ghosts 2 – even if we don’t get into space, a campaign mission on a space station would be just as interesting.
Cano Cristales River, Colombia
A lot of areas in South America were visited in the original Ghosts game and if this setting were to return in the sequel, we’d love to see a visit to the Cano Cristales River. This river is filled with colorful water and epic jungle foliage. Perhaps a federation camp could be set up alongside the river or Rorke could have gone into hiding in this area.
The original Ghosts took players into the Amazon rainforest and we think it could be a great place to revisit. With dense foliage for intense jungle battles, there is so much potential and opportunity for this location.
Chitzen Itza, Mexico
Famous for it’s pyramids, Chitzen Itza could be a very interesting place to have a campaign mission in COD Ghosts 2. Players could fight inside or on top of the pyramids. Alternatively, having the pyramids as destructible environments could be epic to see.
Considering that a lot of the COD Ghosts story was set in South and central America, what areas would you like to see in the next Ghosts game?
