The Call of Duty Ghosts franchise is one of the most packed franchises content-wise. We believe that COD Ghosts 2 may have one of the biggest content lineups for Call of Duty in a long time and we’ll explain the different game modes that will be featured in the upcoming 2016 Call of Duty game below.
COD Ghosts 2 Singleplayer: Campaign
The first game mode that will be included in COD Ghosts 2 is of course the singleplayer campaign. We’d expect the campaign in the upcoming title to focus on parts of the story that were left on a cliffhanger in the original Ghosts game. Without giving out any spoilers, we’ll say that there’s a lot of mystery behind a very important ally character and one of the biggest villains in Call of Duty history is still on the loose.
We cannot wait to see what the singleplayer campaign has to offer.
COD Ghosts 2 Co-op: Extinction Mode
Unlike other COD titles, Ghosts doesn’t have a Zombies mode. Instead, the wave-based undead fighter has been replaced with Extinction. Extinction is also a wave based mode, but instead of featuring zombies, players must fight against waves of enemies. The objectives in Extinction are quite a lot different too and the number of different attacking alien species is huge.
COD Ghosts 2 Multiplayer: Squads
Squads was an interesting mode introduced to Call of Duty Ghosts and we think it could make a return in COD Ghosts 2. In Squads, players are allowed to fight alongside their own created AI team against another player’s team. Players can upgrade their squad members by playing as them in the standard matchmaking mode.
COD Ghosts 2 Multiplayer: Matchmaking
Matchmaking is where most Call of Duty players spend their time and unsurprisingly it will be making a return in the next Ghosts game. Hopefully we’ll get a glimpse of what maps will be available at launch very soon.
