In Call of Duty Ghosts 2, we are expecting to see another focus on dogs just like there was in the original Ghosts video game. In the original Call of Duty Ghosts, the dog played an important part in the campaign but dogs were also featured in multiplayer. In this article we share our ideas on where dogs will make a feature in the upcoming COD title for 2016.
Below, we detail some of the top aspects of both the campaign and multiplayer gameplay and the return of dogs in COD Ghosts 2.
Campaign Dogs COD Ghosts 2
In the original game, Riley was a dog that could be played by the player at various points throughout the campaign. Whilst there was a lot of focus on Riley during the marketing campaigns for the original Call of Duty Ghosts, Riley is only playable in a few of the missions available in the first half of the campaign.
If Riley returns in Call of Duty Ghosts 2 we would expect to see him as a playable character again. However, this time round we think Riley will be playable for more missions. Perhaps Riley will always be available to play at any point and he can be used as an alternative option for completing different missions. With Riley, new stealth opportunities are possible. Riley can also be incredibly useful for surveying an area on a campaign mission before moving forward as a human character.
We hope Riley returns and hopefully this time there will be more of a focus on Riley in the campaign of Call of Duty Ghosts 2 as well.
Multiplayer Dogs COD Ghosts 2
We are uncertain whether there will be new dog related killstreaks in COD Ghosts 2 yet but we do expect the guard dog killstreak to return. The guard dog in the original Ghosts multiplayer would follow a player around, alert the player of nearby enemies by growling and will attack any players that get too close. If a player is killed, their guard dog will hunt down the attacker.
